Being socially responsible is a top priority for us; it supports and promotes the well-being of everyone in our region, benefitting customers, employees, investors, business partners and the wider community.

In this section you can learn more about our community education programme and see what local community volunteering projects we're currently involved in.

Education resources

To help support learning about water in schools we have a range of free downloadable resources, including videos and activities.  Explore with your class how vital water is to life; what we need it for; where it comes from; how it is cleaned and sent to your homes and how we can all use water wisely. Not forgetting the process of cleaning our used water and returning it to the environment.

 Environmental Education centre

Our Rutland Education Centre is based at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre in the village of Egleton at the western end of Rutland Water. We make use of both the reservoir and the nature reserve in our education programmes

Community Talks

Our community ambassadors engage with community groups around the region, allowing us to have an on-going conversation with the communities we serve. If you’d like to find out more about our campaigns and projects, and have the opportunity to share your views, we’d love to hear from you.

If you'd like to find out more, email us and we can arrange for an ambassador to visit your group.
