We’re proud to be delivering an industry leading flood risk partnership funding programme.

By working with risk management authorities and town and parish councils, across our region, we’re able to support flood risk projects which help protect our local communities and enhance our environment.

Below are just some of the types of projects we support:

  • Solutions such as sustainable urban drainage, natural flood management and attenuation projects – all which reduces surface water flow into our sewer network.
  • Flood defence projects which help to protect our pumping stations and water recycling centres.
  • Projects which improve water quality and reduce spillage frequency from combined sewage overflows.

Between April 2020 and March 2022, Anglian Water has invested over £2.5 million to support 36 projects across our region, such as rain gardens, restoring watercourses and creating designated attenuation basins to protect against flooding. But that’s not all – we’ve pledged another £1.5M to support more than 25 projects in 2023.

So if you have a flooding partnership project or proposal that you wish to discuss please contact Matt Moore, Flood Partnerships Manager, by email.
